Ethiopia forbids visa-on-arrival for Nigerians, 41 others
Nigeria has been stripped off the lip of African countries, who are allowed visas on arrival at the Ethiopian embassy immediately.
This new development does not only affect Nigeria but 41 other countries as well.
The news was circulated in a memo sent to the travel partner on Tuesday, 4th of October, 2022.
The statement reads:
“Please be informed that effective immediate No More Visa on Arrival For Nigerian Citizens. Passengers are to obtain their Visa at Ethiopian Embassey in Abuja before traveling.
“Please note that: Passengers transiting overnight in Addis Ababa are not affected by the ban. E.g. Passengers having layover in Addis to travel the next morning to Zanzibar, Seycheles, Lusaka, Lilongwe, Harare, Cape Town, Etc are not affected by the ban and do not need transit visa for their trips.

Ghana deports 16 Nigerians for engaging in cyber crimes 16 young Nigerians have been deported from Ghana , after being accused by the country’s Financial and Intelligence Agency of engaging in cyber crimes. Dr Chukwu Emeka, the Controller of the Seme Command of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) who disclosed this at a news conference on Friday, said preliminary investigation revealed that some of the young boys were lured into criminal activities due to the get-rich syndrome some Nigerian youths are developing.
